Jigsaw Terminology

Tab - it is that rounded protrusion on an edge of piece
Blank - it is a round cut at an edge of a piece that helps in interlocking with a tab of an adjacent piece
SMOOTH EDGE - it is edge of a piece that has neither a BLANK or a TAB
Tips to solve the puzzle quickly:
- All 1000 blocks are divided in the same fashion as shown in the image below

- Once a block is selected, observe the image carefully for 15 seconds and remember it well
- First try to fill all pieces on the 4 edges
To identify these pieces read the following
1) First column pieces have one smooth edge on the left
2) Last column pieces have one smooth edge on the right hence rotate accordingly
3) Pieces on the first and last row are smaller than other pieces. This is clearly visible
4) First row pieces have a BLANK on the bottom edge
5) Last row pieces have a BLANK on the top edge
6) Corner pieces a,b,c and d have SMOOTH EDGES on 2 sides
7) First and last column pieces have one SMOOTH EDGE on the left and the right respectively.
8) The remaining pieces must be filled by using the image as reference or by remembering the exact BLANK & TAB combination of each slot and piece
9) All pieces except for the last column have a TAB on the right side hence rotate accordingly
To beat the world records which are currently in the range of 25 to 34 seconds, use a mouse that is light & in good condition and make repeated attempts
