SMOOTH EDGE - it is edge of a piece that has neither a BLANK or a TAB

Tips to solve the puzzle quickly:
- All 1000 blocks are divided in the same fashion as shown in the image below

- Once a block is selected, observe the image carefully for 15 seconds and remember it well
- First try to fill all pieces on the 4 edges
To identify these pieces read the following
1) First column pieces have one smooth edge on the left
2) Last column pieces have one smooth edge on the right hence rotate accordingly

3) Pieces on the first and last row are smaller than other pieces. This is clearly visible

4) First row pieces have a BLANK on the bottom edge
5) Last row pieces have a BLANK on the top edge

6) Corner pieces a,b,c and d have SMOOTH EDGES on 2 sides
7) First and last column pieces have one SMOOTH EDGE on the left and the right respectively.

8) The remaining pieces must be filled by using the image as reference or by remembering the exact BLANK & TAB combination of each slot and piece
9) All pieces except for the last column have a TAB on the right side hence rotate accordingly

To beat the world records which are currently in the range of 25 to 34 seconds, use a mouse that is light & in good condition and make repeated attempts

Brown Rice vs White Rice

Well, most of us prefer eating white rice 2 to 3 times or even more on a single day. But, studies have confirmed that white rice is not a good nutrient rich substance. White Rice is just refined starch while the unrefined Brown Rice consists of many vitamins, proteins, minerals and is a fiber rich food.

What is Brown Rice?
It is the unrefined grain with only the external hull being removed. Brown rice consists of many layers which include the bran and germ of the seed.

How is White Rice obtained?
White Rice is obtained after milling and polishing brown rice. In this process the bran and germ layer are removed. This is done to increase the shelf life. The bran powder, obtained as a side product is used for feeding cattle.

Bran - is rich in fiber, vitamins B1, B3, B6, manganese, magnesium, iron, selenium, tryptophan, phosphorus, essential fatty acids and dietary substances
Germ - is rich in vitamin B complex and proteins equivalent of egg white

Advantages of consuming Brown Rice:
o reduces obesity related problems
o lowers cholesterol levels
o keeps heart in good health
o anti-cancer effects
o helps in digestion and reduces constipation
o lowers diabetes risk
o increases the bone strength
o decreases nervous fatigue

Why are we still preferring white rice?
Because of its large availability, cheaper cost and added to that, the variety of delicious recipes made using white rice.

How to use Brown Rice?
Brown Rice should not be stored for long period. Some companies suggest a period of 4months from its packaged date. It should be kept in air tight containers and it is good to store in a refrigerator.
